Worship Volunteer Opportunities

USHERS, GREETERS, & ALTAR CARE

WEDNESDAYS & SUNDAYS

It takes a team of people to make worship happen each week. People are needed to welcome visitors to our building, assistance with seating and offering and preparing Holy Communion. Whether you can come every week or just once in a while—consider joining the team!

Befrienders

Listening Ministry

MEETS MONTHLY

BeFrienders is a listening ministry of care. Members are trained to assist homebound members of our congregation—to listen, visit, send encouragement, and offer social interaction.

Ruby’s Pantry

THIRD THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH, 5:30–7:00 PM, SOUTH PARKING LOT

In partnership with Ruby’s Pantry, Good Shepherd is sponsoring a monthly pop-up food pantry.

What is Ruby’s Pantry? Ruby’s Pantry is for ANYONE that eats! There is no income requirement, and Ruby’s Pantry is for anyone looking to extend their monthly grocery budget.

Pre-register for your food box or just drive up. The cost is $25/person for two boxes of groceries (one box of dry goods, and one box of refrigerated/frozen items).

WE NEED YOU! There are many ways you can volunteer to help—unloading the food, sorting food and boxing it up in food bundles, loading cars and directing traffic, and preparing remaining food for pick-up from local food pantries.
